General Maged Farag serves as Chairman of National Port Management (NPM) and its related Logistics Platform entities under Qalaa Holding. He previously served as Chairman of a state-owned oil and gas company under the Ministry of Petroleum (2004–2008), following a distinguished career in the Egyptian Armed Forces where he held senior command, diplomatic, and administrative positions, including Defense Attaché at the Egyptian Embassy in Pakistan, Chief of the Foreign Cooperation Authority, Chief of Strategic Planning at the Armed Forces Operations Authority, and Chief of Staff for Administration at the Ministry of Defense. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Military Science and is a Fellow of the Higher War College. He has been awarded the Order of the Republic (Second Class) in recognition of his long and distinguished service.
