Located just 3 km from Alexandria Seaport on the International Coastal Highway and spanning 70,000 m², the facility is uniquely positioned with a river berth on the Nubaria Canal, where successful pilot trials have been conducted to transfer containers by barge as an alternative to trucking. The depot also includes an 11,000 m² general cargo warehouse supporting both FCL and LCL operations.

NPM operates the largest commercial barging fleet in the market, providing reliable and cost-efficient inland cargo transport along the Nile. The fleet connects seaports to the Nile River, linking inland production and consumption centers with major logistics hubs and enabling seamless multimodal cargo flows across the country.

NPM provides inland container movement along the Suez Canal, supporting transit container flows between the Mediterranean and Red Sea gateways. Using 100-meter barges—the largest inland operating barges in Egypt with a capacity of up to 92 TEU (approximately 1,600 tons)—the service connects Port Said Container Terminal with Suez Canal Container Terminal.
